Now that we’re only a few weeks away from Election Day in the United States, politics has ballooned in every conversation, even dating conversations, and it has begun to matter whom you’re dating, what the person’s political stance is, and whether you two can make it.

For one thing, Trump supporters are controversial people to date, but many may not reveal themselves as his supporters–they may hide their affiliation. And is that okay with you in the dating space? Would you want to know if the man or woman you’re dating supports Trump?

And, if so, how would that person’s political affiliation affect the way you relate? Would you break up with someone if you found out that the person had a different political affiliation than you?
